The prolific and exceedingly gifted Hungarian producer Aeron Aether, who also works as manager of Arrival Recordings and chief label mastering engineer, brings us the first summer release on the parent imprint.
The Original Mix of "Synthanelia" is a triumphant showcase of Aether's many talents and artist signatures, including his unique use of symphonic instruments to create lush, emotional soundscapes. A hoppy percussion section and an intricate medley of bass sounds creates a dancefloor-friendly rhythm early. Yet, the highlight once again is the gorgeous string arrangement in the break, a poignant few moments before the lively rhythm kicks back in.
Fellow Hungarian sensation Elfsong, a frequent production partner of Aether, offers the first of two innovative remixes. Exhibiting his penchant for rich sound design and darker textures, Elfsong re-imagines the track as a moody progressive odyssey to a distant galaxy.
Momentum-wielding Something Good, whose clubby "Loop" was a fan favorite at the end of 2009, offers a second, "housier" interpretation. Playing off the 'loop' of a string effect throughout the entire tune, the talented Finnish duo have crafted a nuanced, peak-hour killer.
